I received his Master's in Social Work degree from Winthrop University in South Carolina in 2012. He is currently a self-employed contract therapist working with children and their families. He also holds a position as a clinical supervisor of a substance abuse treatment program. He has 12 years’ experience working with youth and adults with substance use problems. He also has presented trainings on Addiction and Poverty for the NC Foundation for Alcohol & Drug Studies and a Cultural Diversity Training for the Juvenile Services Association of NC. His clinical experience includes working with individuals, groups, and families dealing with the manifestations of addiction and other mental health challenges

Teal Peoples, Holistic Counseling & Consultation, PLLC
Mrs. Peoples currently has a Master Degree in Social Work; her undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Clinical Substance Abuse Supervisor Associate, and Roster with South and North Carolina, Trauma Focused CBT as well as a past Guardian Ad Litem volunteer for two and a half years. Mrs. Peoples is no stranger to youth at risk. For more than fifteen years, she has served as a counselor for youth with substance abuse and alcohol concerns; a counselor for youth in foster care and youth who have been incarcerated and/or about to be incarcerated; a foster care worker; director of after school programs; and has worked with Military Family Life as a Child and Youth Behaviorist.
